in your eyes is the promise
of distant shores and mountain lakes
and two hands joined in exploration

The Marriage of True Minds

by William Shakespeare

Let not the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken.
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

It will mean so much to me to be able
to openly admit or to say I love you;
not worry who would take offense to it.
Until that day, or even if it never comes,
I will tell you just how beloved you are.
Each day is a gift to experience love.
And so we grow stronger in love
and understanding between the two of us.

And this is what love should be;
just us and sharing and
in kindness between the two of us.
Two hearts joined together,
each a precious complement to the other.
Giving, showing, sharing in joy and
ecstasy with each other more intense
as that knowledge of each still grows.

I cherish us together ... I love you, darling.
